‘Jeux’ es el título que Nijinski le dio a uno de sus ballets en 1913. Esta pieza es una colaboración con la desaparecida compañía de Víctor Ullate en Madrid. Significa una metáfora del juego, vinculada con la posible relación que el coreógrafo vivió con el elitista grupo Bloomsbury, cuyos miembros eran artistas y pensadores de la talla de Virginia Woolf o el filósofo Bertrand Russell. En esta ocasión, además de registrar el proceso creativo, también me introduje en la primera función y backstage.
“Jeux” is the title Nijinsky gave to one of his ballets in 1913. This piece is a collaboration with Victor Ullate's now defunct company in Madrid. It is a metaphor for play, linked to the choreographer's possible relationship with the elitist Bloomsbury Group, whose members included artists and thinkers of the stature of Virginia Woolf and the philosopher Bertrand Russell. On this occasion, in addition to recording the creative process, I also attended the first performance and went backstage.
